Pensacola Florida -  In this social media short for Radial Health, Christopher Burton, MD, of Radial Health talks about Radial Health's focus on helping patients improve function and quality of life.

The video was produced from interviews conducted by reporter Ric Okoniewski in July 2022.

"The number one focus for radial health is improving the patient's function and quality of life. Everything we do is to help that patient get back to the level that they were at, or hopefully even better. In some cases, we wanna make sure that whatever setbacks they face in life, whether it's a stroke or broken hip, whether it's something such as a car accident or traumatic injury, or whether it's a chronic medical condition, we want them to feel like we are there to help them maximize their recovery. The best thing about being a physiatrist is that most of our patients do get better. Most of the people that we work with in radial health are patients who are looking to get better. They want to get back home. They wanna get back to their family, their work, their hobbies, and we're able to do that. We get to see the joy of bringing that patient from sometimes their lowest moments when they're have just suffered from a major life changing injury or illness to some of the, the best moments when they're able to return home. When they're able to walk again to talk again, to do those basic things that provide independence and quality of life, such as bathing yourself, dressing yourself, and feeding yourself. That really brings joy to us and to our team. And we enjoy sharing that with our patients and their families."
