Joe Bottani IV, President of Arch Brokerage Inc.

St. Louis, MO, May 2021 - Arch Brokerage, Inc. is an employee benefits and health insurance brokerage firm that has been helping small businesses and individuals in our community since 1969.

“We exist to help individuals and organizations make complex financial decisions, with confidence and success,” Joe Bottani IV, President of Arch Brokerage said. “We utilize our professional expertise, passion for our industry, and compassion for our clients to achieve this."

The company specializes in helping clients navigate the ever-changing world of health insurance and employee benefits.

“We are kind of a boutique but have the back structure of a larger nationwide agency,” Bottani said. “We have a unique blend of mom and pop as a family-owned small independent business, but we have a large group around us.”

That unique blend of family ownership, experience and expertise from long-standing employees has enabled Arch Brokerage to provide clients a level of value and service that have fueled the company’s success.

“We track our team members years with us by the decades,” Bottani said. “And we have clients who have been with us since the beginning in 1969.”

Up until recently, most of the company’s clients have been employer organizations such as small to medium sized businesses.

“We focus on employer organizations, both public and private, with 10-250 employees,” Bottani said. “We want to work with employers who desire to be an employer of choice for their current and future employees.”

In recent years, the client base has grown into helping individuals with benefits as they move from employment to retirement.

“While B2B is the core of our business, the individual marketplace with Medicare has become our fastest growth segment as the Baby Boomer generation retires,” Bottani said. “10,000 people a day age into Medicare.”

Today, more than half of the company’s clients are individuals. Bottani expects individual clients to grow to 75% or more in the future as people realize the gaps in coverage that come from moving from an employer plan to Medicare.

“We are helping people migrate from employment to retirement building a benefit plan that can work for them,” Bottani said. “We educate people about how private insurance can fill gaps in Medicare so they can have complete coverage.”

“We are sitting down with individuals and helping them select the best products they need,” Bottani said. “Knowing someone’s individual situation, their financial needs, and their medical needs we can really tailor it to find the right fit to make sure there are no gaps.”

Changes in the industry require the Arch Brokerage professional team to constantly monitor changes to laws at both the state and federal level.

“The industry has been in constant upheaval for over a decade,” Bottani said. “There is a lot of uncertainty. Our business is clouded constantly with what is next.”

“Our role there is as a guide, we are helping people navigate uncertain areas of their financial situation and lately even on their legal situation,” Bottani said.  “We’ve had to be very active with all the changes that have occurred just in the last year with Covid.”

While their experience and expertise provides a firm foundation for growth, the company continues to modernize their approach to keep current with the times.

“Despite the history and years of experience, we are embracing technology, and growing rapidly,” Bottani said. “And tackling an ever-changing industry environment with the enthusiasm of a start-up.”
